I am having a hard time getting a handle on this site, granted, I have been a member for a day. Is there a way to comment back on comments, or do you have to just post another entry? How do you put in user names into an entry? I also tried logging into the GATHER thingie, and it wouldn't let me.
Anyhow, I just my new job tomorrow. I am a little nervous. I have to wear retainers in my lip piercings, but one side of my mouth is thicker than the other, and I have to be creative in order to be discrete. Then, since I have my ears stretched a little bit, I had to buy plugs that are seemingly normal earrings, however, the ones I bought use those little rubber/plastic 'O' rings, and I apparently am allergic to them. How obnoxious.
With all that said, I want to thank everyone for welcoming me. It's wonderful to see that there is a community of friends in the area. I can't wait to start getting to know everyone.

New!Thanks for having me! Sort of new to Buffalo, at least permanently. I want to get to know some people in the area so I am not bored out of my mind. I also like exchanging ideas. Talk to me!

Hello and welcome to (e:strip). Not that I know you but you are the 2nd Bailey I have known. The first one was a cat who wasn't named that for any special reason. I just wanted to say that if you are looking for something to do that starting today on Hertel Ave is the Italian Heritage Festival :::link::: . They don't have really rides for adults like they used to in the old days but there are all kinds of things to eat but they do have some heritage stuff. Not sure if it would be something you are into but another festival going on is in Tonawanda is Canal Fest :::link::: , been some time since I have been there but they have food and rides and games and enterainment I think you might enjoy that. I hope you like (e:strip) and have a good time meeting new people here.

In terms of the comments what you could do is is comment on your own journal then to respond to each persons comment write and e the : the name and it higlights it like (e:baily) for example or (e:tinypliny) that right a response to them and hope they read it. The other option is that if when you signed up you gave your e-mail then when ever a comment is posted it goes to your e-mail then you can hit reply and write back to each person. The other option is to respond to what that person said on your post as a comment on there latest journal. There are two other options that work the first one is under everyone's picture there is that yellow square post it note that if you click on it you can send them a short message there is an icon for that on everyones page and if you point the arrow at it, it will say if you have any new messages, but not to many people use that so the person may not remember to check it. Also under peoples user picture there is an envelope that you can click on and then what you type it will send to there e-mail. Granted some people don't have an e-mail account set up from (e:strip). So it is about what you feel the most comfortable doing.
A belated welcome to (e:strip)!
Hope (e:Tinypliny)'s tutorial helped you. Takes a few times to navigate around (e:strip) to get the hang of it (least it did for me and if i can figure it out, anyone can), but once you do, you'll be happy you stuck it out. Mostly everyone here is harmless. :O)
Where's the new job at? Hope the first day went well. Sorry to hear you gotta take out your piercings... it blows. Back in the '80's, i was fired from a job for not taking out a nose ring. Fun stuff.
Gather is dead right now. I will have it integrated with the new version when its out. Tiny's image rocks. I will pu tit up somewhere prominent as soon as I get a chance.
Hey! Welcome to (e:strip)! I don't post much but I wanted to say hello
Look to the right at the panel where the user-avatars/photos appear (when they are online). Below the panel is a small chat window - you can instant message anyone who is online at that time, you could also post pictures, links etc. Same as you would do in an instant messaging system. Ask your questions and someone would come along and answer them.
Enjoy your time at (e:strip)! :)
Hey (e:Bailey) -> Click on this pictorial reply/guide. Let me know if it answers your questions.
